| - Forever and Ever Amen A Story of Engagement
Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a beautiful young maiden named Melissa and a regular young knight named Drew. These two were very in love and so it came to pass that Drew decided that it was time to officially engage the fairskinned maiden. Melissa did not expect this sort of surprise for sometime due to the fact that she thought Drew was only too poor. What she did not realize was that he had taken on a second job in the village in order to fund the purchase of a magical ring that had mystic powers of love and devotion.
Then, one fateful evening when Melissa was freed from her duties as a nursemaid, the young knight lifted her up on his faithful steed (which was actually her steed, but he uses it too) and they headed off on a mystical journey. Drew had prepared a delectable picnic feast with many of the maiden's most treasured eats. They sat and enjoyed this banquet under a beautiful gazebo in a nearby field.
When they had satisfied their hunger, the two headed on to the next event of the evening. Drew took Melissa to an enchanting lake nestled between the hills where they could watch the sun set. The knight had prayed many days for a cloudless eve on which he could take his love to see the majesty of a setting sun. As the sunlight shimmered on the water and the yellow glow shone around the hills in the distance, Drew played songs of love and devotion to Melissa on his guitar and sang the lyrics with a sincere heart knowing that this beautiful maiden was she with whom he wished to spend the rest of his life.
After the sun had set and the songs had been sung, Drew and Melissa travelled to the mysterious Jamba Juice for refreshing drinks, as per the maiden's request. From there he took her back to his castle where he would give her the most delightful surprise of her life. It is important to note here that earlier that same week, the young maiden had asked the young knight to reforge a ring she wore that he had given her as a token of their love over one year ago. The knight agreed, knowing that within a week he would be giving her a newly forged ring with three magic stones to represent their love. The night told her if she wanted her ring back (for she anticipated her old one) she should close her eyes. Then Drew took Melissa by her velvet hand and stood her in front of him. He told her to open her eyes and their before her, sparkling in all of its rich beauty was a ring more magnificent than any she could have expected. Drew asked her to marry him. Melissa, full of surprise, accepted his proposal.
They were engaged. It was official. For the rest of his life Drew chose to love only her and Melissa chose to love only him. The two were happier than they had ever been as they looked toward their glorious future together.
THE END
-- now for those of you who prefer the straight story, don't worry it's all there. nothing is made up except for i'm not a knight and i don't have a castle. oh, and i'm "regular" at best. :)
the ring has a princess cut center stone with trillions on either side and the wedding will be in June of next year |
